Ethereal lace dresses and bejewelled pumps made for a modern Cinderella, is the kind of mid-week fashion escapism we need. Part of new capsule dedicated to Dubai, the pieces designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli fuse Valentino’s signature sophistication with Red’s edgier, yet romantic aesthetic — in a campaign captured by Dubai-based photographer Prod Antzoulis, starring models Lana Al Beik and Parvané Barret.
The limited edition dresses — in nude blush or jet black — are decorated in spiraling ruffles that fall upon the skirt, fanciful frilly collars and intricate lace detailing that makes a statement on long sleeves. Feminine and refined, but with a gothic appeal, the black dress is destined to be worn with a dark berry-hued lip and saved for autumn soirees, while the blush style is perfect for summer nights barefoot in the sand.
Inspired by the glamour of Dubai’s glittering skyline and the sophisticated women that live beneath it, the Red(V) Sandie perspex pumps are adorned in rhinestones and mirror a modern-day glass slipper. The luminous style can be paired with jeans and a flouncy blouse for sunset drinks or worn under a gown for a grand occasion.
To celebrate the capsule of exclusive Dubai pieces, Red Valentino called upon some of the region’s star creatives in the form of photographer Prod Antzoulis, Palestinian fashion model Lana Al Beik and Dubai DJ Parvané Barret. Antzoulis effortlessly captures the spirit of the RedValentino girl — finding a balance between the collection’s tough attitude and soft femininity — in a serene setting of greenery.
Lana Al Beik and DJ Parvané Barre are pictured in the regionally exclusive dresses and pumps, alongside silhouettes from the AW20 pre-collection which is comprised of eighties-esque shapes and eccentric colours; from purple washed jeans to busy knits and cocktail dresses in daring red.
