#OnTheRadar: Prada’s Latest Re-Nylon Collection

Oct 22, 2020 | 2 min read

Eco-conscious and effortlessly cool, here's why the new Re-Nylon offering should be added to your off-duty wardrobe

Prada continues its commitment to a sustainable future by expanding its Re-Nylon offering for 2020. Translating the ecologically-conscious, regenerated fabric into ready-to-wear for the first time, the new generation of pieces fuse sportswear aesthetics with luxury: think, full-skirted dresses, slender cocktail silhouettes and cool-as-you-like cocoon coats.

Paying homage to the iconic 1984 Prada nylon backpack, dresses are decorated with utilitarian details such as front-pockets, buckles and webbing shoulder straps. Reworking the house’s signature backpack into a dress, Prada continues the notion of recycling and regeneration, a key thread in the Re-Nylon ethos.

Alongside ready-to-wear, the collection features the first Re-Nylon footwear; from Monolith combat boots to high-top sneakers. And accessories have also been given an upgrade, with belt-bags, backpacks, cross-body carriers and an archival Re-Edition style inspired from 2000. Topped with the Re-Nylon logo — a triangle that symbolises renewal — the line-up is timeless and has wear-with-anything appeal.

Available to shop in boutiques across the region, the latest Re-Nylon series takes the brand one step closer to its mission to convert all Prada virgin nylon into regenerated nylon by the end of 2021. Eco-conscious and effortlessly cool, the collection is a must for this weekend's off-duty wardrobe.
