In the second wave of its ‘New Classics’ leather goods campaign, Louis Vuitton called upon two of Nicolas Ghesquière’s starry muses: actresses Alicia Vikander and Léa Seydoux.
Captured beneath the blue Californian sky, Vikander and Seydoux showcased the brand’s latest line of covetable carriers — from the monogram IT bag to the chic cross-body.
Photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé, the campaign also features a series of short films which present the elegant, yet practical bags in a dream-like desert landscape.
DAUPHINE: An established IT bag, the Dauphine was updated for Cruise 2019 and has flourished ever since. The chain strap and magnetised lock combine with the monogram canvas to adapt a heritage style into a modern must-have.
CAPUCINE: Elegant quilting and a subtle monogram flower design in soft lambskin, create a chic carrier, especially in tones of vanilla. Versatile and practical, the bag has an extra wide removable strap, so it can be perched over the shoulder, worn cross-body or draped over the wrist.
The bag has evolved into a classic which comes in varying styles and shades. This charming model features leather-wrapped LV Initials, crafted in full-grain Taurillon leather in a dusty blue hue.
TWIST: Now recognised as the Louis Vuitton chain bag, the Twist has multiple carry options which take it from day to night. For everyday, wear over the shoulder with a neutral knit and come evening, remove the strap and opt for the short-handle chain to add a touch of bling.
