An all-girl skater gang collides with dreamy Miu Miu designs in the brand’s latest short-film, celebrating femininity of the 21st century

There’s something surprisingly natural and captivating about this gang of girls taking to a New York skate park, dressed in Miu Miu. The short-film that premiered as part of the Venice Film Festival’s Giornate degli Autori Days Program, is the work of acclaimed director Crystal Moselle.

Enamoured by the real life skate gang, a group of girls aged 17 -23, that go by the collective name, Skate Kitchen, Moselle captures their world of friendship, strength and belonging in this dream-like story.

The 12th edition of Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales series, That One Day is part of a collection of short films by the fashion brand that aims to uncover the definition of contemporary femininity.
