Since its inception in 2015, The St. Regis Dubai has not only gained a sterling reputation as one of the city’s most luxurious travel destinations, but it has also solidified itself as centre for regional artwork, having celebrated the Middle East’s most popular creatives as part of the hotel’s many signature offerings. For its last art exhibition of the year, the award-winning property has collaborated with Sulty Events to present Maqam Al-Saba by Maysa Mohammed, whose breathtaking pieces will be showcased in the hotel’s picturesque courtyard, Le Patio, from December 13.
30 creations will be displayed by the iconic Syrian artist, who is known for her hauntingly beautiful portraits of women, many of whom are or have been influenced by betrayal, chaos, death or pain. Born in Damascus, Maysa’s more recent work uses vibrant colours to narrate a figurative story inspired by her home country. Faiek El Saadani, general manager of The St. Regis Dubai says, “The hotel has always been dedicated to support regional talent, and we are thrilled to present the exceptional work of Maysa Mohammed at the property. Offering an inspirational story behind this exhibition, Maysa is sure to leave viewers in awe while discovering each masterpiece within this inspiring collection.”
Vanessa de Caires, owner of Sulty Events and Entertainment Dubai adds, “Exhibiting the works of artist Maysa Mohammed’s calibre is an honour for Sulty Events – The exhibition is emotionally engaging, thought provoking, and visually gratifying – a unique and captivating experience.”
