Italian fashion house, Marni, has stepped into the world of interiors with a new line of hand-woven chairs, stools and tableware inspired by the zodiac signs. Entitled Zooterico, and created exclusively with luxury e-tailer Farfetch, the collection reflects Marni’s playful spirit; experimenting with unconventional materials and busy patterns in bright hues of electric blue, punch pink and Tuscan sun.
Echoing the different zodiac signs in abstract form, the collection unveils twelve product families including; chaise lounges, rocking chairs and benches crafted from natural fibre and recycled PVC, as well as accessories such as resin trays, cardboard fruit baskets, metal sculptures, umbrella stands, folding screens and candle holders.
Each home decor piece is a one-of-a-kind creation made in collaboration with Colombian artisans who use traditional techniques. Through the Zooterico collection, Marni reaffirms its commitment to engaging with local communities, in the attempt to preserve artisanal crafts and give them a platform to flourish in the future.
