From Kim Kardashian to Amal Clooney, here are the celebrities who took to the streets for the March for Our Lives protest.
Yesterday saw thousands take to the streets of Washington, New York City, Los Angeles and many cities across the USA for the March for Our Lives protest. Celebrities joined the fight for stricter American gun laws, showing their support on social media, all in the hope of ending gun violence. Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter writing that he stands with young people, "I’ll always stand for open dialogue and action - it’s the only way to ensure bad history doesn’t repeat itself. When it comes to protecting our children, all bets are off and the responsibility lies with us adults and lawmakers to listen and do. Very strong day." While funny lady Amy Poehler posted her support on Instagram "We stand with you, young people. I applaud your bravery and your incredible poise, and the fire that you have started will not go out. It will only get stronger, and we will help fan the flames.” Stars like Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande performed onstage between speeches given by victims of gun violence, while other celebrities took to the streets with homemade signs. Attendees included Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, George and Amal Clooney, Lady Gaga, Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jener, Paul McCartney, Jennifer Hudson, and many more.
