The Spanish fashion house taps in to your book shelf
In conjunction with its autumn/winter advertising campaign, Spanish fashion house Loewe will publish a series of limited edition literary classics. The new books, aptly named Loewe Classics, were first revealed during the brands ready-to-wear shows earlier this year in Paris. They have also appeared in selected campaign images, being read by the likes of supermodel Stella Tennant and British actor Josh O’Connor.

The titles selected by creative director Jonathan Anderson for the series are: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Dracula by Bram Stoker, Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, and Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert.
All the books are issued as cloth-bound hardcovers featuring special sleeves adorned with iconic Steven Meisel images originally published as part of magazine fashion editorials. The vintage Meisel images have been repurposed for the book collection in a nod to the special ongoing collaboration between the brand and the photographer.
Produced in a limited run, the series will be available starting August 2018 in select international stores.
