If Instagram is anything to go by, model Kaia Gerber has spent lockdown lounging poolside in a leopard print bikini with a good book to crack into. And while we may not have a pool, or a Los Angeles mansion, we do have access to her diverse reading list. Each week, Gerber announces her latest literary pick, before hosting her very own virtual Kaia Gerber book club every Friday on Instagram live.
So far, the required reading has covered Sally Rooney’s zeitgeist novel — and now popular TV adaptation — Normal People, Françoise Sagan’s Bonjour Tristesse, a tale of adolescence set in the stunning French Riviera, and Frank Wedekind’s famous play Spring Awakening — with book club guests including Jia Tolentino, Marc Jacobs and Gerber’s mum, Cindy Crawford.
