Born in Lebanon, Josette Awwad Safieddine started her career as a model before moving into the world of marketing. Backed by a degree in advertising and marketing, Awwad joined L’Oreal luxury brands in the Gulf to establish and manage the company’s in-house PR department, before landing a role as the communications director for Dior Couture & Parfum Christian Dior in the Middle East and Turkey.
For 10 years, Awwad played a major role in the expansion of the Dior Couture & Parfum Christian Dior brand, at their first official headquarters in the region. Planning, designing and executing fashion shows, shoots and events, helped Awwad to transition into her next fashion-focused role at Azyaamode.
Deciding to join her husband’s company, Awwad become the co-founder and managing partner of Azyaamode.com; the one-stop destination for high fashion, beauty, jewellery and lifestyle in the Middle East since 2013. Awwad helped to establish the bilingual platform, which is designed meet the demands and aspirations of Middle Eastern women through a virtual journey of exclusive experiences.
