Schiaparelli's Haute Couture runway makes a flamboyant case for peacoking this summer
Numerous feathered looks took to Schiaparelli's Haute Couture spring-summer 2019 runway in Paris this morning. Each just as fun and frivolous as the last and all making a case for an ostentatious summer ahead. Colour fuelled the trend as rainbow toned feathers imploded across the catwalk. Lavender, iris and orchid stood alongside rose red while barbie pink was overshadowed by a bed of teal. The house's design director Bertrand Guyon, who took to its helm in 2015, has grown more flamboyount with each season and 2019 is set to be just as strong. The lesson: this is a trend fit for a summer ball and nothing less. Keep it charismatic and keep it colourful.
