Prada Mode has officially arrived in Dubai. A travelling members-only social club focused on contemporary culture, the event brings a packed roster of panel discussions, workshops, exclusive parties and art installations to ICD Brookfield Place, DIFC for two days only. This year's art installation comes courtesy of renowned British artist Damien Hirst, who is recreating his famous Pharmacy installation. Originally debuted in Cohen Gallery New York in 1992, the installation was transformed into a fully-functioning restaurant in 1998, where Miuccia Prada designed the uniforms and kick-started their partnership. As the name suggests, the immersive experience sees life-sized medicines, medical supplies and floor-to-ceiling medicine cabinets scattered throughout the space, including the dining room. "I’ve always thought great restaurants can be seen as art, and art without the evidence as we always remember great meals on great evenings with great people in great places and in this way Pharmacy is definitely a kinetic artwork, that works best filled with people and art existing and living and breathing and eating and drinking and enjoying themselves as one.”

Hirst presented Pharmacy at the 2021 edition of Prada Mode in Moscow. “I’m thrilled and honoured to be invited by Miuccia Prada to recreate Pharmacy for Prada Mode in Dubai after our successful collaboration in Moscow,” said the artist. “I’m working really hard with a complicated but beautiful space, ICD Brookfield Place, to create harmony between the inside and outside of the new building."

First launched during Art Basel Miami in 2018, Prada Mode has thrilled members in Hong Kong, London, Paris and Shanghai, with the Dubai edition marking its eighth event. Discover past events
