Photographed by Leila Smara at the iconic 31 rue Cambon Paris address, house ambassador Caroline de Maigret, showcases Chanel’s spring/summer 2020 pre-collection in a series of black and white stills.
The collection features a very Parisian silhouette adorned in signature tweed, denim, leather, satin and cotton poplin for a cool, chic look imagined by Virginie Viard.
Pink pocket heavy jackets are worn with faded jeans, whilst monochrome checked blazers pair perfectly with ethereal jabot blouses and bow embellished shorts. Leather comes printed in silver pinstripes and tweed is feminised via a bold bustier top.
Despite the elegant refinery at the heart of each Chanel piece, there’s an effortless ease throughout the collection, with relaxed jersey tops, soft coats and worn jeans that epitomise casual chic.
Fishnet slingback pumps, derby shoes in patent leather and chain-trimmed sandals add flair to each nonchalant ensemble — finished with a tote bag and cuff bracelet ready for spring’s anticipated arrival.
