The fashion and beauty worlds are grieving the passing of the legendary hairstylist and brand creator
Legendary celebrity hairstylist Oribe Canales has died at the age of 62. While the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, his famous clients have taken to social media to mourn the loss of the beauty guru, who spent decades creating iconic runway looks for brands like Versace and Chanel.
The Cuban-born stylist was recognised as one of the industry's greatest and his celebrity clients included the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Emily Ratajkowski, Cindy Crawford, Meghan Markle, Lady Gaga and Naomi Campbell. Oribe was also widely known for his luxury eponymous line of styling products.

Oribe’s long-time friend and makeup artist Mary Greenwell was one of the first people to speak out about Oribe's passing, which she did in post on her personal Instagram account. "ORIBE is one of the great "original" hairdressers whose iconic status grew along side the supermodels of the 80’ and 90’," she wrote. "He was a brilliant hairdresser and simply adored by all."
