Cartier sends a message of solidarity and unity across the region

Cartier sends a message of solidarity and unity across the UAE by contributing to the coronavirus relief efforts

To commemorate the holy month of Ramadan — known as the month of giving — and help the region’s most vulnerable during the Covid-19 pandemic, French jewellery house Cartier has pledged to donate to the Emirates Red Crescent’s ‘The Homeland of Humanity’ fund.

“As a Maison, we feel strongly about expressing our gratitude to the people of the region; and what a better time to do so than the month of giving, the holy month of Ramadan,” said Christophe Massoni, chief executive officer of Cartier in the Middle East, India, and Africa.

Set up in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, the Emirates Red Crescent and other charitable and humanitarian organisations in the UAE, the ’The Homeland of Humanity’ fund supports the measures taken to stop the spread of Covid-19 and keep the virus under control.

The fund also helps to ensure that families and various segments of society are able to live in comfortable and convenient conditions that enable them to stay home and stay safe.

“More than ever, Cartier remains committed to supporting the less fortunate, those affected and the people caring for them during this difficult and unprecedented time,” continued Christophe Massoni. “We truly look forward to celebrating the month of Ramadan with a spirit sharing and togetherness, which are dear to Cartier’s heart.”

Championed through Cartier Philanthropy —  a foundation that strives to improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable — this donation is one of Cartier’s many charitable endeavors over the past few years, with the maison committed to social responsibility and humanitarian efforts around the globe.
