MOJEH join Orkalia Haute Couture for an intimate breakfast and a look at their SS15 collection.
Despite a mouth-watering display of croissants, macaroons and cheeses laid out in welcome, Orkalia Haute Couture draws our attention to the exquisite spring/summer collection that takes pride of place in their showroom on Al Wasl.

As well as getting up close and personal with the SS15 collection, MOJEH were there for a sneak peek at the process behind their stunning beaded crop top. Embroiders were on hand with a live demonstration, providing just a snippet of the incredible 600-hour process that takes three people one month to complete. Couture to the very core, the elaborate design offers Dubai residents a sample of Paris studios without leaving the region.

Created by Iranian-born, Dubai-raised Orchid Ganji, the creative director looks to her own roots for inspiration. Using the rich Persian history as a starting point, before turning to the story of the Garden of Eden - the Orkalia woman is ‘Eve’ in her feminine ideals. With long sleeves and high necks seen throughout the collection, these details are combined with a flash of skin on the back. There is subtlety in the sensuality of the designs, appealing to both the regional woman as well as those that prefer a bit more of a show. Yet one thing is for sure: Orkalia is the brand to turn to if you are looking for a unique take on eveningwear.
