Fashion house Balenciaga has teamed up with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world's largest humanitarian organisation addressing global hunger, to create a second capsule collection to support WFP’s goal of ending world hunger by 2030.
In March 2018, Balenciaga unveiled the first set of WFP merchandise on the runway at Paris Fashion Week during the AW18 show. The charity’s logo and slogan were sprawled across hoodies and neon tee-shirts that instantly grabbed the fashion crowd’s attention.
Following the success of the 2018 collaboration, which successfully helped to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in vulnerable communities worldwide, a new line of co-branded products have been released.
Set to continue the cause and raise awareness for WFP, the second capsule will double last year’s donation to the charity with 20% of proceeds going straight to the World Food Programme’s mission.
The new collection features hoodies, unisex bags, socks, scarves and coats, emblazoned in both logos in a range of Balenciaga bright colours and classic black.
