Art Dubai returns for its 17th edition this March

It is the time of year that art aficionados have been waiting for. Art Dubai is back at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai from 1 to 3 March 2024 for its 17th edition. Art Dubai 2024 will host over 120 presentations from 60 cities and 40 countries across four sections: Contemporary, Bawwaba, Art Dubai Modern and Art Dubai Digital. The programme not only includes major commissions and debuts by internationally renowned artists, but thought-provoking panel discussions and Art Dubai's flagship summit, Global Art Forum.

The Global Art Forum, taking place on 29 February and 1 March, explores the cultures, technologies, sciences and initiatives related to extreme weather and climate change as part of a summit titled Whether or Not. The two-day summit will be hosted by commissioner Shumon Basar and curator Nadine El-Khoury, and will feature renowned artists, architects, academics and curators. Meanwhile, from 29 February to 2 March, the Digital Summit will investigate the expanding digital art ecosystem through public talks and lectures.

Exhibitions and commissions coming to Art Dubai for the first time include Dubai collection, the city's first institutional collection of modern and contemporary art featuring some of the UAE's most prominent artists; Art Dubai Commissions, a series of activations and performances focused on the power of art to help us navigate challenging times; Heart Space, a digital installation that allows guests to visualise their heart rhythm; and the Piaget House of Gold, where the Maison will showcase private collections, high jewellery and watches, as well as the launch of Piaget's Limelight Gala watch.

If you can't quite make it to Madinat Jumeirah, Art Dubai Week expands across galleries, museums and national institutions in the UAE, from Jameel Art Centre to Alserkal Avenue and the NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery. Buy tickets
