Must-Visit: In Fashion Exhibit In Paris

Just in time for Paris Fashion Week, Art Photo Expo will host In Fashion, an art exhibition that gathers a unique selection of fashion photographs dating from the 1950s to today.

Jeanloup Sieff, Melvin Sokolsky, Pierre Boulat, Georges Dambier, Douglas Kirkland, Albert Watson and Arthur Elgort are just a few of the star-studded names who’ll be featured in the showcase, which is set to pay tribute to the world’s most beloved fashion designers. Clothes and accessories by Christian Dior, Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent are all featured, alongside an incredible sculpture by the British artist Zoe Bradley, who has created a giant dress that’s made up of more than 8,000 folded papers that are interlaced with each other.

“For as long as fashion has existed, the most beautiful creations by the greatest couturiers have been immortalised on the glossy pages of the most illustrious magazines,” says Audrey Trabelsi, co-founder of Art Photo Expo, and curator of the exhibition and consultant for collectors in acquisition of Fine Art Photography. “Since the beginning of photography, fashion is its best model. Nobody is indifferent to fashion photography which reflects society at different eras. Through this exhibition, I have worked to bring together the most dazzling shots of these photographers in order to display this heritage to the public eye.”

In Fashion will be open to the public from 26 January until 31 March in the Art District Gallery at Le Royal Monceau-Raffles Paris
