Hotel Pools Are Reopening, Here’s What To Know Before Your Next Daycation

With temperatures climbing and the realities of a long hot summer drawing ever closer, there’s some good news on the horizon as the Government officially grants UAE hotel pools permission to reopen.

A mandate from the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority highlighted temporary guidelines which need to be followed by all UAE hotel pools and their subsequent guests. They include a limit on capacity (so book early); temperature checks upon arrival and at random intervals throughout the day; and clear distinctions between pool and beach areas to avoid overcrowding in either spots.

Poolside restaurants will also reopen but at a maximum of four guests per party, space between tables and with regular disinfection of menus. And for anyone looking to extend their daycation into a staycation, then limited capacity still applies with hotels expected to allow 24 hours between guests for extensive disinfection.

From the Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach and The One&Only The Palm (both Dubai), to The Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Desert in Ras Al Khaimah, there are plenty of regional hotels offering a stunning setting and the promise of a short escape from the city.

For those who have been dreaming of a June spent poolside, the memo comes as a welcome relief.
