Heading Back To The Beach? Do It In Dioriviera

Dubai reopens its beaches and Dior launches its latest summer capsule collection. Don't mind if we do...

As of Friday May 29, Dubai’s public beaches began a gradual reopening starting with JBR, Al Mamzar, Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim beaches. According to Dubai Municipality children under the age of 12 and adults over the age of 60 are also allowed on the beaches and all members of the public must still adhere to social distancing measures including the wearing of masks (unless in the water). The news comes just in time for the launch of Dior’s latest collection, Dioriviera, offering plenty of stylish pieces for a weekend spent beneath the Middle East’s rays.

The Dioriviera capsule by Maria Grazia Chiuri offers a summer wardrobe revisited in the spirit of the inspirations seen in Dior’s latest fashion shows. Brightly-hued creations beckon and prints evoking imaginary travels are just as dreamy as they are wearable: there’s the emblematic toile de Jouy, freshly reinvented in a tropical spirit or in pastel grey, blue and pink; sailor stripes bearing the names of sunny destinations, and pieces from the Dior Around the World capsule, featuring camouflage and motifs by the Roman artist Pietro Ruffo.

Bathing suits, pareos, jewelry, espadrilles designed by the Creative Director also punctuate this sun-drenched capsule. MOJEH’s top picks include oversized scarves perfect when worn as cover-ups and the new Caterine canvas tote.

We can’t think of a more enviable entrance back onto the Dubai sand.
