When you’re preparing for global success and need a beauty look to match, you go to Charlotte Tilbury, the makeup artist to the stars who concocted a dreamy yet modern look for the Swedish actress with a combination of her own products including Brow Lift in Cara D, Dreamy Glow Highlighter and Lip Liner in Pink Venus.
Emily Ratajkowski. A look we’re most likely to be clambering for come summer, Ratajkowski’s half faux-bob was courtesy of her expert hair stylist Christian Wood. The stylist went for what he terms a ‘mini-chop’ – hair is shorter on the sides but longer underneath to create the illusion of a fuller and shorter crop, whilst concealing the longer strands beneath with bobby pins. The actress highlighted her face with a vibrant shade of coral by Chanel.
Olivia Culpo The actress commanded applause with her combination of dramatic eye-makeup and intricately braided hairstyle, both of which were achieved by A-list industry professionals. The former was conceived by Sir John, a L’Oreal brand ambassador who utilised a touch of gold against luxuriant burgundy on the eyes. Meanwhile hairstylist Justine Marjan perfected the epic braided-bun with her client by first blow-drying the hair, followed by a braid on either side that is tucked into the center to conceal
Michelle Williams. If we needed more convincing to embrace the fresh-faced makeup free look then Michelle Williams might just have given it to us. No, the star isn’t sans makeup, but her dewy lips and dab of foundation by Laura Mercier, as well as a subtle touch of blush, has us rethinking our beauty purchases.
Priyanka Chopra. Celebrating the bold impact made by a dark lip, actress Priyanka Chopra worked with makeup artist Stephanie Brooke Barnes of Laura Mercier to get her vampy-look. The rich burgundy lip colour was achieved by mixing Laura Merciers Velour Lovers lip colour with An Affair and Seduction, two variating shades in the range. Elsewhere, a simple middle parting and rich waves kept the look from bordering chaotic Goth.
Janelle Monae. For those that believe Janelle Monae’s effervescent glow costs a pretty fortune – it doesn’t. In fact her demure glow was created using Covergirl and drugstore staples by makeup artist Jessica Smalls, who took the au-naturale effect one step further by exfoliating the actress’ lips pre-makeup with lemon juice and sugar
