Situated in Paris’ 6th arrondissement, the Palais de Tokyo was the ideal location for Georges Hobeika’s elegant five o’clock tea proposal. The show space is considered an epicenter for the city’s arts and culture scene, so it’s little surprise the Lebanese designer decided to opt for such grandeur on day two of Paris Haute Couture AW15.

The many intricate layers of the British aristocracy inspired Hobeika’s procession, with his love affair for floral motifs continuing in the same vein as last season, only here colours were cool and less saccharine then ever before. Hobeika’s romanticism informed a soft beauty look with models sporting blushed faces in sheer hues of peach, with eyes smudged in shimmery copper tones and lips glossed in the slightest sugary hue of pink. Hair was created with bridal veils in mind, worn low on the nape in plaited chignons and centre-parted from the face.
