Be careful not to over-trim your eyebrows
One of the most common issues with over-trimming your eyebrows is that sometimes the hairs can't grow back and you run the risk of losing the most flattering part of your face. We recommend limiting the number of times you trim your eyebrows to once every three weeks. By doing so, you'll give the hairs a chance to grow back and your eyebrows will look more symmetrical.
Shop for a good eyebrow pencil
A good eyebrow pencil will give you a natural hair look. You should look for a pencil that is not too dry, not too soft, and not too smudge-able. We recommend the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, which comes in several shades. It can provide light or heavy coverage and will look very natural.
Your eyebrow color doesn't have to exactly match your hair color
Your hair and eyebrows work together to create a harmonious and natural look. But that doesn't mean they have to be the same shade. As a general rule of thumb, if your hair color is light, you should keep your eyebrows one shade darker. If you have darker hair, you should keep your eyebrows one shade lighter.
** Always use an eyebrow gel to smooth the direction of the hairs**
Brow gel is an important product that holds the brow hairs in place, just like the hairspray we use to hold our hair in place. You should always use it as the last step in your brow makeup.
Always make the end of the eyebrow moderately long
Overlong eyebrows can create a slightly droopy look to the face. Eyebrows are naturally created at a certain length that keeps the face nice and balanced, and that's what you want to maintain.
Your eyebrows should be similar, not identical
Trying to make your eyebrows exactly the same can lead to over-plucking. Instead, embrace their unique shape and remember that no one around you will notice how different they are except for you.
