Valentino Is The Latest Brand To Hop On The Beauty Bandwagon

Valentino Beauty will release product details later this month followed by the launch in August

Valentino Beauty has announced its upcoming make-up line and, in true Valentino fashion, it sounds nothing short of spectacular. Valentino Beauty shared that its make-up will be launching in August with a complete line, which will include 40 foundation shades, eyeshadow palettes and a staggering 50 lipsticks all designed with a “couture approach”. The palettes and lipsticks will also be refillable.

The products will be versatile and experimental in order to allow for freedom of expression; a concept tied back to haute couture. The make-up collection is described by the Maison as visionary, vibrant and vivid and celebrates individuality while encouraging beauty lovers to “wear your emotions”. “Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director of Maison Valentino, delivers his vision of beauty according to the time we are living in, by bringing his inclusive aesthetic where emotions, dreams, and individuality are essential,” says the announcement.

Snippets of the upcoming official campaign have been shared on Instagram, showcasing bold shadows, graphic liner and striking lipstick – in the Maison’s signature red, of course. The campaign will be shot by Piccioli himself and will feature 16 individuals – models and non-models – who represent the multi-faceted nature of Valentino. The campaign will debut on 31 May alongside the official product reveal.

Valentino is the latest luxury fashion brand to join the beauty world, following in the footsteps of beauty newbies Carolina Herrera, Hermès, Byredo and Jimmy Choo.
