I like to wake up around 6am and work out first thing in the morning as it keeps me feeling super fresh. I was never a morning person before, but since I’ve become one it’s really changed my life.
My morning routine consists of some form of physical activity; whether it’s working out with my trainer or going for a walk on the beach with my family or even by myself. Then after that I like to spend an hour alone, going over my manifestations, gratitude list and vision boards. I love listening to podcasts and talks that inspire me, before I start my day.
Everything for my fragrance brand Kayali! Kayali is my baby, so I’m constantly working on new creations, getting the brand name out there and exploring ways that we can innovate. I also work really closely with my sister Huda and the team at Huda Beauty on maintaining strategic business relationships.
There’s no typical working day for me! Each day can be completely different, but recently my workday has been really focused on developing new fragrances for Kayali, smelling tonnes of different scents to get inspiration for new perfumes and creating content for Kayali and my own personal channels that I love.
Pre-covid, I definitely loved dressing up as I feel fashion can be so inspirational as a way to invoke creativity. In the last year or so though, since I’ve been working from home so much, I’ve fallen in love with wearing leggings and comfy zip up hoodies.
Lunch is usually my heaviest meal, so I love to focus on protein and vegetables. My favorite lunch is homemade coleslaw with chicken breast.
The people. We’ve been so blessed to have really worked on building a team who is inspiring, amazing at what they do, and most importantly kind. It’s so important to me that the people who I spend the most time with, apart from my family, are genius superstars who share the same values as me.
Emails and WhatsApps! They make me feel overwhelmed and exhausted.
I just love accentuating natural beauty, and I’m a big believer in ‘the no makeup, makeup look,’ so on an average day I don’t wear too much makeup. But when I do want to feel glam and I’m in a rush, I’ll add a winged liner, mascara and blush – but my hair and nails are always done!
I always have dinner with Daddy Cool, then I like to unwind and get to bed early around 7:30pm/8:00pm if I don’t have any calls with our US team. Then its cherries, kiwi and chamomile tea by 8:30pm before I doze off. Previously I used to watch podcasts, but nowadays I’ve been forcing myself to watch more TV because my therapist told me to have more fun!

I like to go for walks on the beach and keep a voice note diary of my thoughts and feelings. I immediately go into problem-solving mode. I don’t like the idea anything negative staying the way that it is for too long, so I always want to see what I can do fix that problem and ultimately the stress that it causes…I even like to search for the problem I’m having on YouTube to see if there any recommended solutions!
