Soap is the unexpected secret to getting your best brows ever
Eyebrows have this amazing ability to make or break any beauty look. Done well, they can enhance, lift and add shape to your face. But if they're over-plucked, badly filled or shakily stencilled, they can turn heads for all the wrong reasons. Thankfully, there’s a simple trick that only involves two things and will ensure your brows are always on point.
Basically, soap brows is an Old Hollywood trick currently enjoying a modern day spike in popularity and only requires a mascara spoolie and a bar of soap. The idea is that the waxy texture of a transparent soap builds up and feathers the texture of the hair to give the illusion of fuller brows.
Anastasia Soare, the brow queen behind beauty brand Anastasia Beverly Hills, has officially endorsed the technique, which involves wetting a spoolie brush (or an old mascara wand) with warm water, brushing it on the soap until you have that right amount of slip, brushing the hairs upward, then using a colour-matched brow product, like a pencil, to finish off the look.
