It appears even Karl Lagerfeld isn’t immune to all the recent Star Wars hype, opting for a Princess Leia inspired updo for his models. The futuristic look gave a modern spin to the classic notes of Chanel’s couture collection.

Also proving to be a strong favourite was kohl liner. Seen dancing around the eyes of many a model, the dark art of makeup was given a fresh direction. Weather it was Chanel’s Eastern flair or a stroke of abstract beauty at Dice Kayek, eye art is here to stay.

The schoolgirl headband was given a couture makeover this week. From the Greek goddess serpent headwear at Valentino to the pearl encrusted floral band at Elie Saab, we have no doubt that hair ornaments are set to be a season favourite.

In an ode to David Bowie, Maison Margiela’s models donned theatrical makeup in what appeared to be a tribute to the late musician and pop icon. Fiery mullets, sequins, bold graphics and lip tattoos took over the runway, affirming the star’s impact on the worlds of fashion and beauty.
