This clean skincare range from Peach & Lily is about to become your skin's best friend
Korean skincare expert and founder of the e-commerce beauty destination Peach & Lily, Alicia Yoon has announced the launch of her very own innovative line of clean beauty products, pulling inspiration from her Asian roots. Yoon grew up with severe eczema so it was important for her to ensure the Peach & Lily line was full of good, clean ingredients. This meant no toxins, no irritants, and no sensitising agents. “We wanted a skincare line that is completely worry-free. We vetted the ingredients used in cosmetic chemistry to stabilize, mix, and preserve ingredients, as well as ingredients that help achieve results. If an ingredient is in question at all, we simply chose to exclude it – a decision that frequently complicated the product development process,” explained Yoon. For example, some game changing skincare ingredients have an awful scent. Typically, this is masked with synthetic fragrances or a lot of essential oils, both of which can be irritating for sensitive skin. Instead, Yoon and her team worked with scent specialists to come up with their own blend of essential oils in completely diluted amounts (no more than 0.05% in any formula) so that there’s zero downside for skin, and a subtle hint of a soothing, natural scent.
