Icon, meet icon. Rihanna has been announced as the new face of Dior's J'adore fragrance. She takes over from Charlize Theron, who has been the face of J'adore since 2004. “Being the new face of J’adore is both an honour and a mission," said the Grammy-winning superstar. "This scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women."
Echoing the sentiment, Véronique Courtois, CEO of Parfums Christian Dior is equally (and understandably) thrilled to have Rihanna on board. “We are incredibly proud to welcome Rihanna into the Dior family. Her golden dream promises to be unique, reflecting a fragrance that is present for women, and retains its radiance," she stated. "The unusual talent, audacity, and captivating beauty of this absolute star are the ideal embodiment of dazzling, powerful Dior femininity that transcends generations." We will have to wait to see the campaign, however, as it won't be revealed until 1 September.
