Hermès' collection of coveted fragrances are about to offer another new note, courtesy of Christine Nagel's latest Un Jardin sur la Lagune launch...
Walking into a haven of perfumery can be quite daunting as your tasked with selecting the right scent for the right season. However, it’s easy to fail miserably due to the vast selection of body mists, body sprays, eau de parfums and eau de toilettes. And we commiserate, truly.
Luckily, there’s a new note to add to our scent lists – literally. And it'll be the perfect spritz for your seasonal spray.
Hermès has added a new fragrance to its already-impressive list of coveted parfums, titled Un Jardin sur la Lagune.
The scent, beautifully crafted to bottle the sweetness of a dream garden, brings together a selection of coveted ingredients. From a slew of airy notes, the fragrance becomes a "floral breeze between dream and reality, carried by the softness of white musks and woods that melt into one another. An evocation of magnolias, pittosporums and Madonna lilies, the woods, roots, flowers and earth swept by sea winds."
Christine Nagel, who is the maison's in-house perfumer, was inspired by a secret garden before developing the scent.
"Christine Nagel discovered that this garden was completely secret, inaccessible, impenetrable. It was much discussed but no one had seen it. A garden where nature has regained its rights, where scents come from the sky. To create this fragrances is to give this garden another life, an olfactory reality, it is to enable everyone to imagine and to dream of this garden, to enable everyone to open the gate and discover this secret oasis."
