Packed with full-bodied notes and fresh floral accords, Gucci’s latest scent is in full bloom

Packed with full-bodied notes and fresh floral accords, the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia fragrance is in full bloom and has Miley Cyrus singing its praises

When it comes to picking a perfume, there are two distinct camps – floral and anti-floral. Fans of the latter look away now, as Alessandro Michele has debuted Gucci’s new Flora Gorgeous Gardenia fragrance, and it smells like a freshly-cut garden on a hot summer’s day. Calling the scent ‘unusual, sensual and intense’, Michele snapped up singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus to front the campaign, who was photographed by artist Petra Collins. Inspired by the colourful and playful world of Japanese anime, Gucci crafted Flora Gorgeous Gardenia for free spirits with a scent that evokes joyfulness and encourages barefoot running through endless fields.

Housed in a partly recycled lacquered pink bottle, with a new elongated silhouette, the scent itself is a bold botanical elixir built around the white gardenia – a full-bodied floral long admired for its velvety, zesty and rich green undertones. Married with jasmine grandiflorum absolute, pear blossom accord and a pinch of brown sugar for a juicy yet sweet finish, it’s a deliciously light scent perfect for days in the sun. Available at Gucci counters nationwide and online.
