From afternoons in the gardens of Fendi's family estate to the African savannah, Fendi captures memories in its first-ever fragrance collection

Fendi is keeping it in the family. For the first time in the Maison's history, Fendi has launched a complete collection of fragrances. The seven-strong collection pays homage to the heart and soul of the House - that is, the people and places that have been integral to its journey - by dedicating a fragrance to each member of Fendi's family. "The fragrance collection tells the story of Fendi from another point of view," explains Silvia Venturini Fendi, creative director of menswear, accessories and kidswear and the mind behind Fendi's iconic baguette and peekaboo bags. "It expresses the essence of the Maison in a different way, by telling its story in a different language."

The Silvia-inspired fragrance, Perché No, reflects the designer's favourite mantra - "Why not?" - and incorporates sandalwood and pink peppercorn to evoke wholesome weekends spent in the family's countryside estate. Adele Casagrande Fendi, the founder and matriarch, is honoured with Casa Grande. An intricate harmony of leather, Somali myrrh, amber and cherry are rounded-out with vanilla bean in a luxurious, comforting fragrance that echoes the spirit of the House.

Prima Terra is the only fragrance in the collection that is not associated with a direct relative of the Fendi family. Rather, it is a tribute to a chosen family member. Kim Jones is the artistic director of womenswear and couture for the House and is honoured with a fragrance that bottles his childhood memories - tangerine from Calabria and Sicily, rosemary from Tunisia and an infusion of oak moss aim to conjure the designer's youth growing up in Africa.

The Fendi fragrance collection incorporates ingredients from around the globe; the purposeful inclusion of international ingredients is an extension of the House's craftsmanship and ability to transform materials, while also being reflective of its mission to deliver the utmost in luxury. Shop now
