Chanel Beauty unveils a new chapter in its skincare journey with the launch of N°1 de Chanel, a first-of-its-kind collection inspired by the camellia flower. Simultaneously resilient, delicate and complex, the camellia flower is one of the rarest flowers in the world, though a familiar sight for Chanel loyalists - the flower adorns Chanel packaging, garments and accessories. Rumour has it Gabrielle Chanel loved the camellia because, not only was it gifted to her by an admirer, but its odourless nature meant it would not compete with her Chanel fragrances.

Using innovative cultivation methods and sustainable agricultural practices, Chanel's world-class team of phytochemists harnessed the unique characteristics of the camellia flower to create the age-defying N°1 de Chanel line. Thanks to the super-concentrated red camellia extract and 97 per cent naturally derived ingredients, N°1 de Chanel preserves the radiance of youthful looking skin by addressing the first sign of skin ageing, interrupting the effects of aggressors that inhibit cell production.

N°1 de Chanel was formulated to target five major complexion concerns: lines and wrinkles, visible pores, loss of elasticity, lack of comfort and radiance. By incorporating every element of the camellia flower, from petal to seed, the Chanel research team has harnessed its nutritive and beneficial molecules and transformed them into a stellar skincare line. The initial launch features six skincare products: a serum, cream, eye cream, cleanser, lotion and mist. However, the collection doesn't stop at skincare. For the first time in Chanel's history it has covered every beauty category in one launch, releasing a foundation, multi-purpose lip and cheek balm and fragrance mist. And, to top it off, even the packaging features elements of the camellia. The lids are crafted from the hardy camellia seed shell, protecting the cream within much like the seed protects its delicate contents.
