The trend made an appearance on several runways at London Fashion Week
Glitter eye makeup isn’t exactly a new trend, but it’s certainly one with some staying power as Halpern and Simone Rocha showcased a range of glimmer, shimmer and shine on their spring/summer 2019 runways.
At Halpern, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench traced black eyeliner underneath the brow bone and outwards to create a hollow wing. She then filled in the empty space with eyelash glue and using a flat concealer brush, pressed an abundance of heavy glitter in a spectrum of shades onto the lid. To finish, she added a slick of MAC Lipglass over the eyelid to serve up extra dimension and drama.

For a slightly more wearable take on the trend, Simone Rocha makeup artist Sam Bryant kept complexions clear and added a hint of sparkle to the inner corner of the eyelid before diffusing the glitter out to below the brow. The glitter varied in shades from silver to maroon, depending on the models skin tone and the hair accessories.
