International model, Dominique Lamon shares her fitness, beauty and relaxation tips with MOJEH.com

By Jemma Walker

We’re all envious of models' toned physiques, flawless complexions and luxurious lifestyles – even when they’re off duty. So we caught up with international model Dominique Lamon who’s modeled for the likes of John Galliano and Agent Provocateur to find out her tips for looking runway ready.

Inbetween jet-setting all over the world, the 22-year-old South African beauty spends her time at her favourite Dubai hangouts, sipping Lychee Martinis at Zuma and dining at Le Petite Maison, and after modeling for seven years she knows the importance of keeping fit and taking time out to relax.

Do you find it hard maintaining a healthy lifestyle?

Fitness and health is something that I am so passionate about, I’m a qualified nutritional and exercise advisor, so food, nutrition and exercise is something I spend a lot of time reading up on and learning about. I love working out in the morning, I feel like it starts my day off on a good note and helps me to eat healthier throughout the day.

What’s your secret to staying in shape?

I love exercising in general. It puts me in such a good mood! I go running, functional training and love yoga the most. I just recently completed my second half-marathon in my home city of Cape Town - It was so fun! If I had to choose my least favourite exercise, it would have to be cycling.

What do you do to relax?

Yoga - It's an amazing form of relaxation and a great way to keep yourself centered. It's very important to make time for yourself to de-stress, and yoga really is the perfect way to do this. I also enjoy hiking, Cape Town is so beautiful and natural and has so many hiking routes.
