Exuberant eyes were the name of the game at Dior’s pre-fall 2021 show, where Peter Phillips crafted some seriously impressive eyelid art using the House's new stay-all-day eyeliner
When creating her pre-fall 2021 collection for Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri was compelled to unveil an uncharacteristically colourful collection full of playful prints and bright hues that threw shade on the simple life of lockdown and instead injected a new-found energy into its wearer. It’s clear that this same ethos extended to the House’s beauty looks, too, with creative and image director of Dior Makeup, Peter Phillips, creating heavily-lined eyes interspersed with pops of colour and glitter for some impressive eyelid art.
Created using Diorshow On Stage Liner 091 Matte Black and Diorshow 24H Stylo 091 Matte Black, Phillips interchanged liners in matte pink, yellow and pop green to create bold, bright looks that bring attention to the eyes—perfect for the face mask era. He also adopted a smattering of silver glitter on others, adding a little something extra for those after a high-shine finish.
If you’re looking to emulate this look, be sure to keep lips neutral—Phillips used a combination of Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil 001 Pink, various hues of Rouge Dior and the all-new Dior Addict Lip Glow 001 Pink which comes enriched with cherry oil to ensure a continuous glow—to avoid overkill.
