Latte makeup was the glowy, bronzed trend of the summer, and now we are making way for its sultry sister. Here’s how you can become a cinnamon spice girl this winter

Yes, the Middle East may still be subject to temperatures in the high 20s, but technically winter has arrived, which means we can unashamedly dust off our nude shadows, contour palettes and vampy lipsticks. TikTok is embracing the seasonal shift with a warm, sensual makeup look dubbed ‘cinnamon spice’ makeup. Rooted in earthy, terracotta tones and bronzed complexions, the cinnamon spice girl takes inspiration from neutral, quiet luxury-friendly winter collections for her beauty looks this season. “It has got to be warm, it has got to be earthy, and it has got to be spicy,” says Rachel Rigler, the TikTok creator who is credited with starting the cinnamon spice girl trend. The focus of cinnamon spice makeup is smoked-out eyeshadow, though a healthy lashing of cream bronzer is necessary to warm up the face. Rachel's go-to base for cinnamon spice makeup is a light foundation or tinted moisturiser as “there will be full-coverage blush and contour."

Though those attempting the look should reach for predominantly cream products to tie the look together — “Don’t be afraid to go right under the eye with the blush!” — it should be balanced and set with powder products over the top. “Use a powder bronzer, preferably with a little shimmer, on the cheekbone,” says Rachel. On the eyes, Rachel suggests going in with a warm orange as a base before using a cool-toned brown in the crease and outer corners, followed by bronze shimmer in the waterline. Add mascara to the top lashes and finish with “a laminated, fluffy brow to bring attention to the eyes.” The result? Siren eyes and a glowing complexion that complements your winter capsule wardrobe.
