Grey lips are the latest trend taking the beauty scene by storm
Time and time again, Beyonce has proved she can pull off just about any beauty trend. From dramatic eyeshadow to blunt micro bangs, the Formation singer isn’t afraid of trying something new and in a recent Instagram photo shoot, the star looked fierce as ever as she posed in a grey plaid Prabal Gurung suit which she teamed with a dark grey lipstick.

Although the unconventional lip colour has been around for a while, it hasn’t always been a popular choice (until now). The bold hue is a great alternative to the dark oxblood shades most people wear in the cooler months. However, the key to pulling off the stone colour is to keep the rest of your makeup minimal. Just like Beyonce, you want to let your lips do the talking by opting for a flawless complexion and a few swipes of mascara.
Because all of the attention will be on your lips, you’ll want to make sure they are smooth and hydrated before applying your new lip colour. Apply the product and make sure to blot with a tissue. This ensures even application, but also helps press the product into the lips. Fill in with a pencil if needed, and follow with one last blot.
