Spring isn’t about reinventing yourself. It’s about refining what’s already there - glowy skin, softer colours, and makeup that lets your skin breathe. We tapped industry favourite Sharon Drugan, educator and makeup artist, for her forecast on the four trends set to dominate. Her take? “It’s less paint-by-numbers, more enhancing what’s already naturally beautiful.”
Let’s break it down.
Soft Pastels, But Make It Chic

Pastels are back - but not in a bubblegum, tween-y kind of way. “These tones aren’t about being cutesy,” Sharon says. “They’re sheer, diffused and grown-up.” Think lilac lids that almost melt into your skin, soft mint inner corners, and blush tones that feel lived-in. She recommends cream formulas for a barely there wash of colour: “The goal is a whisper of pigment - something that feels dreamy, not loud.”
Wear them solo, pair them with fluffy brows and dewy skin, and you’ve got an effortless day-to-night look. “You want people to think you woke up like this - even if it took 10 minutes and a really good mirror.”
Sun-Kissed Eyes, Minus the Drama

Gold and bronze shades aren’t exactly new, but this season’s take is stripped-back and soulful. “It’s about warmth, not sparkle,” Sharon says. “Like that glow you get after a long day in the sun - relaxed, radiant and real.”
She suggests smudging a cream bronze shadow across the lid with your finger, then finishing with a slick of mascara. “That’s literally it. No liner, no fuss. Just a soft glow that catches the light when you blink.”
Bonus: It pairs perfectly with air-dried hair and an oversized shirt. “It’s sexy without trying to be.”
Fresh Skin Is The Ultimate Power Move

Forget perfection. This summer, it's all about skin that looks like... skin. “People are done with the heavy, full-coverage look,” Sharon says. “We’re leaning into realness - texture, freckles and that natural radiance.”
Sharon swears by light-reflecting skin tints, gel bronzers, and cream highlighters to enhance, not cover. “Use your fingers to apply - it blends better and feels more intuitive,” she adds. “And skip powder unless you really need it.”
“Your skin should look like it’s been kissed by sunshine - not a filter.”
Romantic Blush Is The New It-Girl Energy

Blush is getting softer and more strategic. “It’s not about sculpting cheekbones anymore - it’s about warmth, emotion and personality,” Sharon explains. “A flush of pink or coral can say so much with so little.”
She suggests applying it not just to the cheeks, but also across the bridge of the nose and even on the eyelids for a monochrome moment. “It ties everything together and just makes you look... happy.” And the key to getting it right? “Less is always more. You want people to notice how good you look - not your blush placement.” Follow Sharon on Instagram
