Designer to the stars, Suzanne Kalan has been announced the winner of ‘Best Everyday Jewellery’ at the Middle East Jewellery of the Year Awards 2016. MOJEH caught up with Kalan, founder of her namesake label, towards the end of 2015, and we’re thrilled to hear she’s been awarded for her signature 18-karat Fireworks Baguette Diamond Bangles.
With over 28 years of experience designing fine jewellery, the Los Angeles-based brand is a pictorial paradise for the jewellery connoisseur, creating stunning collections that are both innovative and unique. Custom-cut coloured gemstones are dramatically utilised to add a modern twist to traditional design.

Kalan explained that the award, “underlines our [the brand’s] continuous striving for developing innovative and incomparable collections”. Her signature diamonds, topaz and opal creations have been worn by the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry and Kate Beckinsale.
She continues, “Inspired by our origins, we envision pioneering concepts and translate them into exclusive designs. The award’s recognition reinforces our commitment to continue this journey and offer luxurious jewellery collections to our trusted customers”.
The Fireworks collection, for which the brand was awarded, started the trend of using baguette diamonds in innovative and unconventional settings, which has quickly become a signature trait of her much-loved collections.
