The unconventional exhibition hit London shores last night in the midst of the most important fashion week in the capital. Entitled Louis Vuitton Seires 3 – Past, Present, Future, the exhibition combines the concept of a fashion show with next generation technology that invites visitors to discover the inner creative path of Nicolas Ghesquière’s journey during his fourth ready-to-wear show. Housed in a disused building on the Strand, the exhibition was overseen by set designer Es Devlin in collaboration with Louis Vuitton and Ghesquière.

Following on from Series 1 and Series 2, the latest installment is an immersive experience showcasing the latest autumn/winter 2015 Louis Vuitton advertising campaign shot by Bruce Weber and Juergen Teller. Inside the show space is a menagerie of distinctive rooms, 10 in total set over two floors, designed with a specific viewpoint in mind. One room is a dedicated walk-in wardrobe, another an accessories showroom featuring all the latest designs.

Elsewhere, a dizzying round room has videos of models talking about the brand projected on the walls and a trunk in the centre of the display has a screen with images of inspirational figures for Ghesquière such as Catherine Deneuve. At last night’s opening guests were invited to choose their initials, as well as a selection from a wall of the brand’s most popular trophy items, before having their photograph taken with Nicolas Ghesquière.

The man himself was also joined by actress Alicia Vikander, currently the face of the house, alongside Louis Vuitton campaign star Michelle Williams. Also present was model Cara Delevingne, London ‘it’ girl Alexa Chung and Selena Gomez, all dressed head-to-toe in Louis Vuitton.
