Adored by the fashion pack for her kitch and slightly bonkers but always adorable handbags and clutches, designer Olympia le Tan has art in her genes. The daughter of French illustrator Pierre Le-Tan, art was a household staple. She honed her skills at the young age of 19 when she began work for Karl Lagerfeld in Chanel’s design studio. She then collaborated with Balmain, as well as serving as a DJ at some of fashion’s hottest parties. In 2009, she launched her first “You Can’t Judge a Book by its Cover” clutch collection and ‘It’ girls the world over have been elbowing each other out of the way for her conversation-igniting accessories.
This totally whimsical ‘Dental Floss’ round cotton canvas shoulder bag will fly off the shelves as fast as Le Tan’s artisanal collection of re-imagining classic book covers. From the painstaking hand embroidery to the Liberty-print lining, exquisite attention is lavished on every detail.
